Wedding Booklet Cover

Here is a sneak peak at the cover of a Chicago wedding booklet I am creating. The couple wanted something with both art nouveau and art deco elements. This is going to be pretty neat once it is all done.

Save the Date

Here is the front and back of a recent Save the Date I designed (photo and address were changed to protect privacy). This couple is having their ceremony and reception at an antique shop-very cool!

Mancinis

 Mancinis, one of my favorite places in St. Paul, it doesn't get more retro than this. Red leather booths with gold button puckers, smokey mirrors and low, sultry lighting. I love the wonderful typography on this sign which hangs proudly above the enormous filagree carved wooden door.

These beauties just came in the mail yesterday. I love 'em! (No cheetahs were harmed in the making of these boots).

I recently started designing custom favor boxes for my employer.  I created the outline for the die and each box is custom designed. This particular box was for a baptism.

Vintage Flair

For those of you who do not know me personally, I am a total shoe-aholic and have been since I was a little girl. Shoes are the first thing I look at when I meet someone, and I build my outfits starting with shoes. Comfort over Cute? Never! {You can find these shoes at dsw.com}.

Final Chicago Save the Date

Here it is, the final Chicago Save the Date. On the reverse side is a lovely photo of the couple plus all of the wedding details. This was a fun one to design and I can't wait to start on their wedding invitation. It is going to be an 8 page booklet packed with beautiful art deco typography and design. Stay tuned.

Foshay Tower

Recently shopping at Half Price Books I came across a great assortment of old time clip art books. I picked up an American Cities and Sights royalty-free design book and found this image of the iconic Foshay Tower. The Foshay lives in the city I call home, Minneapolis. I recommend checking out Dover Publications for some cool images from the past (http://store.doverpublications.com). Very inspirational. 

Lovely Lady and Dapper Man Signs

Here is a peek at the recent signs I made for the bathrooms at my work. Not wanting to create signs with the usual male/female bathroom icons, I used male/female silhouettes that are an actual part of our branding (see the Paper Event marketing mailer I posted back in February).

Ever heard of a golf stat book? I hadn't until I was recently asked to design one. This little stat book is 4" by 6". The inside pages include 40 pages to keep track of your stats, 2 totals pages and a fun "Did You Know" golf infographic. Happy Golfing!
